A test kit for MELSA testing can only be ordered with the support of a healthcare professional – you will need to have a practitioner to refer you for MELISA testing. It’s key that MELISA is used as part of your diagnosis or treatment plan and not as the sole means of diagnosis.
To order a kit please fill out the form below. Please be aware of the following:
- MELISA testing is currently provided by our specialist laboratory in Germany. It’s possible to send blood from most locations to arrive within 48 hours by FedEx or DHL.
- The kit fee must be paid prior to releasing the test kit to you.
- You should not be taking immune suppressant medication as this may affect your immune response. If it is not possible to stop medication please reach out via our contact form HERE to see if there are any options for you.
If you are unsure which testing panels to order or which metals you are exposed to, please check which metals make up our test panels HERE or learn about various dental and orthopaedic materials and other possible sources of metals HERE. A personalised testing panel may be created by selecting individual metals on the test requisition form.
In general, testing for all ongoing metal exposure is recommended, not only for metals found in an implant which seem to have triggered health issues. Even though problems may start after receiving a new implant the issue might be based on galvanic corrosion (implants interfering with other restorations previously tolerated), more info HERE.
